Kebaya-statement of art

While i was walking around, i found a great kebaya. For those who does not know kebaya, kebaya is a traditional clothing of Indonesia, and it has been popularized by Kartini since early 19s. It is basically a combination of a top and sarong. Nowadays kebaya is very modern with its sheer fabric, that could show off your flesh (it is a bodyfit too). You could also add your personal style with the motifs through the brocade and embroidery. To add a more glamour look, you could put on beadings on top with different colours to give diversity. What do you think of the Kebaya below? 

Applying beading

Thinking in what way i should bead the neck, should it be loose, packed or play with different type of beads. I only boight glass beads and round type beads. I live glass beads better, because glass beads does not make the clothes look sweet. Starting at outer line first, then the next step you measure both line, and grab the middle part so your beading will look neat. 

The beauty of Batik

In Indonesia, Batik has been a treasure and an icon especially for depicting the handcraft and creativity of Indonesia. Nowadays Batik has been a longlasting fashion, so many designers have been trying to create a more contemporary look of Batik. I have been a big fan if Batik, Batik has so many forms and styles like many others fabrics. Behind it, there is so many meaningful creation that you can not imagine. Here in this picture an example of batik that i found. It is all hand done on silk fabric, beautiful conposition, motifs, abd colours, it has them all.

Handbeading work

Inside making the dress, this photo is taken while making the dress for my customer, with self drawn pattern and beaded. Adding a more personal drawing into the dress is an important process as not all clothea will be suitable with the motifs that the fabric has, don't you agree? 

Embroidery clothing

After couple days working on my client's request, here i want to share it with you how it looks like. Now the only left thing to do is to add little beading on it. 

Bags embroidery
